VILLA WOODBINE – DOCUMENTS
Carrollton has proposed a new school WOODBINE SCHOOL OF THE SACRED HEART for 336-students plus 50 faculty at VILLA WOODBINE located at 2167 SOUTH BAYSHORE DRIVE. It would be located less than 150 yards from Ransom Everglades Middle School and directly across the street from KENNEDY PARK. This is BIG news for Coconut Grove and is BAD news for its Residents.
This an unnecessary development, since there are 17 schools located in Coconut Grove serving over 6700 students when it has an area that is approximately 5 square miles. Besides adding another massive traffic bottleneck which mirrors the existing one in South Grove, this will create an adverse impact on the climate resilience of our coastal community and the historic preservation of our cultural resources.
