STOP Grove Grid lock Campaign

Lack of responsible comprehensive planning places our neighborhood’s waterfront, lush tree canopy and greenspace in jeopardy, and undermines the preservation of our historic and natural resources. This imposes on Coconut Grove’s residents a reduced quality of life with gridlock, increased pollution, and the loss of our most personal measurable resource, our time and money.

Bayshore in Grove is a 501c3, Non-Profit organization dedicated to the advocacy of smart growth strategies critical for climate resilience and for maintaining the unique sense of place that encourages the Coconut Grove “State of Mind”. We are a grassroots network consisting of community stakeholders: citizens, neighborhood organizations, our sailing community, and elected officials. We cultivate collaboration by integrating diverse perspectives and defining effective solutions for issues facing our coastal corridor.

Our mission is to advocate for smart, responsible development and planning by fostering a culture of transparent and inclusive public dialogue on policy matters that affect us. Our strategic advocacy campaigns will provide opportunity to develop a clear vision for our community, establish achievable goals, galvanize support and raise funds to advance coastal stewardship via:

- Neighborhood outreach that promotes public engagement on issues affecting climate resilience and historic preservation

- Innovative tools that empower citizens to have an ownership interest in our community with clear roles and timeframes

- Engagement of diverse networks to ensure well-informed and effective voices and viewpoints are heard in policy forums

- Creative partnerships with businesses and agencies to build awareness for measurable smart growth planning goals
